Mission.

Through the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies program at New York University, students Alyssa Aquino and Suzie Fyodorov enrolled in a course called "Making Medical Decisions," and for a semester, engaged with principles of ethical medical decision-making, especially for pediatric and adolescent care. Supported by information from the class, they gathered from their own experiences that young people aren't readily aware of their autonomy and the power they hold. They decided to create a site that specifically addresses teens and young adults approaching radiation treatment for cancer, as Suzie underwent it as a minor, herself.

Mission Statement: To create, maintain, and expand a community of teens and youth with cancer and undergoing radiation that is known, promoted, and easily accessible for the purpose of better informing their medical decisions and supporting their unique transition to adulthood with knowledge and company.
